IMMIGRATION DETENTION

The government details individuals with certain immigration problems in detention facilities throughout Michigan and the United States. Our office can assist you to locate where you are detained and help secure release. This may involve a formal request for release, sometimes with bond. We can also assist with court action to help obtain release. Two nearby immigration detention facilities are Calhoun County Correctional Center (commonly known as Calhoun Immigration Detention) and Monroe County Correctional Facility. These are the two major immigraion detention facilities in Michigan.

Hours

The  is a 24-hour / 7-day-a-week operation. However, inmate visitation takes place between 7:00 am – 2:45 pm, Monday-Friday, with the last visitation request accepted at 2:15pm, as follows:
